TRAN PHUC DUYEN
Tran Phuc Duyen was born in 1923 in Hanoi. He graduated from the Indochina School of Fine Arts in 1946, following the presentation of a painting on lacquer.
He exhibited in Vietnam and also abroad (France, US, Italy). He was entrusted with the task of decorating a screen that was presented to Pope Pius XII in 1950 to mark the Holy Year.
In November 1954, he stayed in Paris and trained at the École des Beaux-Arts, directed by Souverbie. He unveiled his work to the Parisian general public during an exhibition at the Club des Quatre Vents.
